This patented product is entirely designed and manufactured in Canada. It will prevent any breakage or charging problems caused by severe winter weather conditions. Made from high-grade canvas, it will remain in excellent condition for a long time (the product has been tested in extreme conditions). To avoid snow and ice accumulation, a strip of industrial quality “hook and loop” gripping material, velcro-like, completely protects the access to the electrical cable.
The Eco-Dome fits most EVs, but not the ones made of aluminium, plastic or polymer side panels because the magnets won’t work on these. Refer to the Eco-Dome model table to see if it is compatible with your car.
Why Purchase the EVduty EVSE?
The EVduty-40 EVC30 is a level 2 home charging station that allows you to charge your electric car or plug-in hybrid faster than with level 1 charging. Equipped with a universal SAE J1772 connector that can be plugged into and charge every electric vehicle in North America, the station delivers 30 amps of charging power. The station can be installed either indoors or outdoors and is designed to withstand the harsh Canadian weather, with its extra flexible 25-foot cable. The station is portable for use in multiple locations since it comes with a plug and is very light. This station is made in Canada by Elmec.
Available Options for the EVduty Station
The EVduty-40 station is also available either as a non-smart EVSE, theEVduty-40, or as a connected charger, the EVduty-40 Smart Home. The latter is a smart charger and offers the following features:
Wi-Fi connected: enjoy all the benefits of a Wi-Fi-connected station with the mobile app.
Control access to the charger through your smartphone: keep full control wherever you are.
Follow charging statistics in real-time: stay up to date with your EV or PHEV’s charge.
View charging history: real electricity consumption and cost of charging are displayed in the app.
Start and stop a charging session directly from the app.
Adjust the maximum output current of the charging station (8A, 12A, 16A, 20A, 24A, 28A, 30A).
Set power-sharing between multiple stations.
The station has three options for plug type:
NEMA 6-50P (welder outlet)
NEMA 14-50P (stove outlet)
Hardwired (connected directly to your electrical panel for a permanent installation)
The non-hardwired versions allow you to move the station, which can be useful if you move or if you have a second place of residence.
Outdoor NEMA plug
For a charging station installed outdoors: NEMA port in a robust protective casing. Protects the outlet from the elements and allows to lock access (padlock not included).
We recommend you get your residential station installed by a master electrician. To find a qualified master electrician to set up your station, you can visit ourdirectory of qualified electricians. We also invite you to add or review your electrician once your installation is done.
